buildings ruined, forgotten      

sunken into the depths of memory    

but again revealed            

is it half sunken into the ground      

or half emerged from the earth

ruined and in parts yet    

each of them standing in solitude          

expressing their own story, their time, their destruction    

together they represent something distance and yet strangely familiar

it was part of a city    

and it could well be the future    

they are at once reminding and precautionary

monuments .
